Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for volunteer for 2 European Voluntary
Service placements called “Make
the Difference Through EVS” and “Let’s Be Volunteers” both for
12 months, which will take place from 1st October 2016 to 27th September 201 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Hosting Organisations are
Casa Pia de Lisboa (CPL) is a Public
Institute under the tutelage of Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity. The
mission of CPL is to promote the rights and protection of children and young
people, especially those who are in danger or at risk of exclusion, to ensure
their full development, through acceptance, education, training and social and
professional integration. This project will take place in Centro de Educação e
Desenvolvimento (CED) Nossa Senhora da Conceição.

Associação
Qe is a
teaching/residential complex for mentally disabled persons over 16, comprising
a pedagogical centre (for residents and non-residents) and a residential centre
(for permanent, temporary or occasional use). Most of students have a moderate
mental disability that covers a diverse of syndromes and pathologies, such as
Trisomy 21, Trisomy 8, Autism, Borderline, Cornelia de Lange, Microcephaly,
among others. Our goal is to maximize the autonomy and the integration of these
very special people, by developing their competences through Individual
Development Programs.
The Profile of the volunteer: proactive, motivated to work
in a foster home environment, with sense of responsibility, like to work in a
team, flexible, with handwork skills, with communication ability, mature to
work with social disadvantaged children and young people.

Accomodation: We
will provides
accommodation in an apartment (with 6/8 volunteers in total), University
residence, hostel or hosting family, Casa Europa, multiple bedroom with fully
equipped kitchen, toilet, laundry facilities and living room. The costs with
electricity, water, gas, TV and Internet are covered by the Coordinating
Organization. The volunteers will have towels and bed clothes for the entire
period of the project.
Food
and Pocket Money:
We will provide €245 (every 30 days) to cover costs of food and extra expenses
(ex: cleaning materials,) during non-working time.
The Erasmus + Programme will reimburse
100% of the travel costs for the participants (up to 530 euros).
