EXCHANGE IN SLOVENIA - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called Playing with Knowledge” which will take place in 21st until 30th June 2013 in Metlika, Slovenia.

Ten days long youth exchange “Playing with knowledge – Te čele đanglipe”, will take place in wonderful nature by the river Kolpa, just a few kilometres outside Metlika town.

Youth from six different countries will try to break cultural barriers, prejudice and stereotypes. This will be a great example for local people and an excellent experience for each participant. The main goal of the youth exchange is to design and create didactic teaching utility for children with fewer opportunities.

Through workshops and round tables participants will try to learn about minorities and marginalized groups, European parliament and its Declaration of human rights. With help of experts they will learn about Roma people, their history and culture. They will visit Roma settlement “Boriha” and learn some basic words in Roma language. Participants will gather designs, pick materials and prepare workplace for didactic teaching utility which will be made with help of a professional mentor. They will spend most days in the nature with sports activities to promote teamwork and healthy lifestyle.

This Exchange will bring together 42 participants from Slovenia, Estonia, Spain, Romania, Greece and Croatia. The exchange will be held in English. There are 7 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

EXCHANGE IN TURKEY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called Living Treasureswhich will take place in 02nd until 09th June 2013 in Adana, Turkey.

The main goal of  project : Soon or later we will  get older, at that time, when we look at the back, long way would be already passed with lots of experience and mark of life’s’ .Elderly people are always vulnerable, helpless and each of them is a ‘Living Treasures’. They are a kind of human book; therefore the aim of this project is to bring people together in one-to-one conversation, to encourage understanding, sharing life experiences, to obtain first-hand information about history, love, and sadness from old-aged people.

Our objective is to organise the project in ‘home for aged, or nursing home’ to give a message to elderly people: we are here to share your priceless experience, we are here to convey our hand and remind them that you are not forgotten’. In the first 3 days we will make workshops, analyse the method to the way of approaching to book (elderly people) and the role of readers (we are readers). And then rest of the way we plan to implement the project in nursing house by obtaining their experience. In this way, we also aim to keep alive of ex-games that almost forgotten by new generation. We assure that, this project will open up new doors in your future life regarding the importance of your time that would never come back. Lest go to be reader of a ‘living book’.

This Exchange will bring together 24 participants from France UK, Estonia and Turkey. The exchange will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - ACTIVITIES IN ESTONIA AND SICILY - LAST 2 PARTICIPANTS URGENT


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for an action 1.2 called “Free to move…Free to choose!“ which will take place in 8th until 13th August 2013 in Mussomeli, Sicily.
The project aims primarily to promote the right of establishment and the free movement of European citizens, bearing in mind that 2013 is the European Year of Citizens.
The young people of two countries, to achieve this objective, will realize several activities following those of four guidelines:
1. European citizenship: what does it mean? And what are the rights of European Citizens? What has changed in the last 20 years? Participants will carry on activities focused on this topic first in their country (meetings, interviews with local community) and then in Mussomeli during the transnational meeting. The outputs of all the activities will be integrated into the video "Free to move  ... Free to choose"!
2. Language: the language is the main problem that European citizens face up when moving abroad, especially that of the world of work. Participants will make a research and interviews to find out key phrases of 5 professions and jobs which they can choose themself. Afterword, during the transnational meeting in Mussomeli, participants will be involved in editing the "JOB-DICTIONARY".
3. Music: one of the main instruments of integration is the music. Participants will choose national music, singers and bands and will translate in English the songs’ text. The aim is to raise awareness of the national-local music to other nations. During the transnational meeting in Mussomeli, participants will make a selection of the songs chosen by the various partners to create the CD "Music without borders".
4. Experience: show and tell stories of "Europeans on the move”, i.e. people who moved to other European countries and now live there (focusing on difficulties faced up and suggestions coming from them). Participants will make research, interview and short videos in their own country and, during the transnational meeting in Mussomeli, participants will be involved in editing the main video" Free to move… Free to choose" that will be promoted and distributed in all the countries involved.

The young people involved in the project are cooperating with peers from other countries, facing common issues and seeking joint solutions, will develop a sense of active participation and European citizenship. They will also have the change to go to the final meeting in Mussomeli (Sicily) in August (4 days) to edit the JOB-DICTIONARY!”, CD  “MUSIC WITHOUT BORDERS and the video “FREE TO MOVE.. FREE TO CHOOSE” collecting all the work carried out in the local activities.

The event will be held in English and there are 4 vacancies available and participants should be 15 to 25 years old.

The Youth in Action program will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 20 Eur per participant.

CALL FOR EVS VOLUNTEER IN HUNGARY FOR 1 YEAR! PROJECT APPROVED


Edela Eesti Arenuskeskus in cooperation with Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for volunteers for a project called Discover Yourselfwhich will take place from 1st July 2013 until 30th June 2014 in Kaposvár, Hungary!

There’s only 1 vacancy!

The target group of the project is the youth who live in Kaposvár and the surrounding area. The local young people do not have much chance to travel, they are not motivated to learn languages and they do not have international experiences. Because of this we take the international environment to our city, to the Compass Office! Our EVS volunteers are our tools! We offer the chance for the youth to come to our office and experience an international environment, to improve the language communication, social, cultural, and social skills, organizing free time activities, summer camps, send them abroad for EVS, Youth Exchanges or trainings. We are offering them these possibilities, to extend their chances!

The tasks of the volunteers are the following:
·         Volunteer in the Language clubs;
·         Language lessons in local secondary schools;
·         Take part in popularization of the Youth In Action program;
·         Take part in Summer camp;
·         Useful free time activity;
·         Active part of office life.

Work time:
Maximum 35 hours weekly.
Daily agenda: 10:00 to 18:00
Free days: two days per every week. (Saturday, Sunday) The work hours are flexible depending on the volunteer’s and the instructor’s needs. If the volunteer has to work on the weekend, then the volunteer gets the free day in another time. Every month the volunteer has two free days! It means that during 12 month the volunteer has 24 days for holiday.

Financial conditions:
Travel – 90% of the travel to go and return to Hungary.
Accommodation – The project cover 100% of the accommodation of the volunteer. The volunteer will share the flat with another volunteer.
Food – There is a fixed amount of money delivered to the volunteer which should allow him/her to don’t have any costs with the alimentation. The amount will be around 250 euros per month.
Activities – All working activities are 100% paid by the project
Pocket Money – The volunteer will receive 95 Euros per month of the project.
Insurance – Every EVS volunteer must be enrolled into the Group Insurance Plan for EVS volunteers foreseen by the Youth in Action Programme, which complements the coverage by national social security systems. All costs with doctors are paid or reimbursed with the AXA volunteer insurance.

EVS Training and Evaluation Cycle: The volunteer will have the chance to join the following trainings during his EVS time free of charge!
􀂃 pre-departure training (before go to the project)
􀂃 on-arrival training (in the first month in Hungary)
􀂃 mid-term evaluation (in the end of the year)
􀂃 evaluation of the Activity. (when return to Estonia).

Profile of the volunteer:
The volunteer should have a minimum 18 years old and a maximum 30 years old. We are looking for a serious and outgoing person who can work well in a team and by him/herself. We are having constantly programs with youngsters and children. Good English and/or Russian is a plus.

TRAINING IN PORTUGAL - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - URGENT!

Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Training Course called “EVE 2020 – Employment, Volunteering and Entrepreneurship for Young People” which will take place in 10th until 18th May 2013 in Montijo, Portugal. 

The aim of this international training course is to build up the competences of multipliers and activists in youth work to raise the employability and entrepreneurship of young people. 

The training course will be based on the specific needs of the participants and their organizations and will be highly participatory. Diversity, e.g. in the group of participants, will be considered as a resource for the building‐up and transfer of competences. There will only be few frontal lectures, the main part of the training course will be delivered in the form of practical sessions implemented by the participants in a learning‐by‐doing fashion. The trainers will take care of creating a supportive and safe learning environment, where participants are encouraged and coached while mastering challenges that contribute to their personal, professional and organizational development. Special attention is paid to making the learning points of the training course relevant, sustainable and transferable, eg by giving ample room for reflection and assessment, by producing exhaustive documentation and by providing templates and guidance for tailor‐made development and action plans. 

This event will bring together 24 participants from Portugal, Greece, Lithuania, Spain, Estonia, Italy, Slovenia and Poland. The event will be held in English. There are 3 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old. 

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 50 Eur. per participant.

EXCHANGE IN TURKEY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called Let us do something for a better Europewhich will take place in 10th until 18th June 2013 in Sivas, Turkey.

We all share the same earth so we have to save it. The main aims of this project are to gather a group of 38 young people from 6 different countries and most of them from disadvantaged backgrounds, to raise their consciousness about dangers of global warming, on the other hand to give them opportunity to do something useful for global warming and environmental pollution.

To make this there will be several workshops, indoor and outdoor activities which non-formal education methods are used, intercultural nights, conferences by the experienced academics on this field, discussions and short trips to the natural beauty of Sivas. In the project construction every participants will find the opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions about different cultures and religions freely and reflect own culture. We hope that it will have influence on local society and people will be interested in our actions.

This Exchange will bring together 36 participants from Latvia, Lithuania, France, Sweden, Turkey and Estonia. The exchange will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

EXCHANGE IN ITALY - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called From Bell Tower to Europewhich will take place in 29th June until 8th July 2013 in Marcellinara (Calabria), Italy.

It is a trilateral youth exchange for 10 days and will involve 24 young people from 16 to 19 years old (plus 6 group leaders) from Italy, UK and Estonia. We want it to be an authentic chance of interaction, mutual understanding and integration in the common framework of a European Union able to put the people with its values at the centre of any action.

Main themes are identity, culture and cultural differences, inclusion and social cohesion, European citizenship, sport, wellness and environment. The most important objective, in fact, is helping young generations to become active, positive and responsible citizens of our tomorrow communities. The project will implement several activities, which go from team and individual games to role-plays and simulation games, from energizers to outdoor activities and sports, from ice-breaking to group building, from educational and interactive workshops to brainstorming experiences, presentations and discussions, from confrontations to problem solving, from video and picture making to thematic focus-groups, from arts and creative performances to intercultural parties and funny experiences.

Methods applied are based on non-formal, participative and experiential learning, on promotion of intercultural dialogue and on the empowering of team-building, decision-making, responsibility, creativity and entrepreneurship.

This Exchange will bring together 30 participants from UK, Estonia and Italy. The exchange will be held in English. There are 10 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 15 years to 17 years old (4 participants) and from 18 years old to 25 (4 participants) and 2 leaders (without age limit).

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 40 Eur. per participant.

EXCHANGE IN CZECH REPUBLIC - CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called Socially Aware Youth + (SAY+)which will take place in 14th until 21st July 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic.

We will bring youngsters from eight different EU countries in order to create a multicultural environment and stimulate international interaction from the first day. This will contribute to free participants from prejudices about other cultures, and/or nationalities, and would allow the project to tackle down xenophobia, separatism, racism and other forms of discrimination.

The activities will promote a healthy, sustainable life style and will encourage participants to interact and help each other. This will contribute to strengthen social cohesion and to develop the participants’ individual skills and their communication abilities. The activities will encourage participants to look for creative solutions to the issues they will be presented with throughout their stay.

Specific workshops include, but are not limited to: nutrition, first aid, issues and solutions to daily activities faced by disadvantaged persons, neuro-linguistic programming, gender equality issues, minorities in the EU, body language, yoga, and development of young people's creative talents in the arts and applied science/technology.

This Exchange will bring together 40 participants from European Union countries. The exchange will be held in English. There are 6 vacancies available and participants should have minimum 18 years old.

The Youth in Action programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the participants with 70% of the travel costs. There will be a participation fee of 50 Eur. per participant.
